About Cousn

Cousn are London duo Alfie & Billy Goffey, as the name suggests: brothers-from-a different-father, who have been inseparable best friends since birth. Growing up in close-knit musical families Alfie & Billy were drawn to music from an early age, playing guitar, bass and drums in various bands before getting into dance music in their early teens. They decided to form Cousn and start producing electronic music after a formative trip to Glastonbury when they were sixteen years old.

Describing their sound as an eclectic mix of techno, house, acid, rave and breakbeat, they have spent the last eight years honing their craft in the studio and amassing a wide array of over seventy original tracks and edits that they started releasing music in November 2018.

Their first release “Juggle” was immediately picked up as Pete Tong"s “Essential New Tune” and played across multiple different shows on BBC Radio One. At the start of 2019 they were named as BBC Radio One"s “rising stars to watch”, which they followed soon after with their breakout hit “Brain Ticker” which has clocked up over 700k streams, impressive given that the boys have so far self-released all of their music on their own label “FAMLY”. Their current release “Movement”, released last month was supported heavily on Radio 1, and they have recently remixed Jessie Ware, Lau.ra, Robbie Doherty & Knees" TikTok smash “Pour The Milk” and Ally X.

Now in their early twenties and having already performed at venues and festivals as varied as The Warehouse Project , DC10, Hideout, Wilderness, Printworks, Glastonbury, Motion and Secret Garden at the start of 2019 they were the supporting act for Fatboy Slim on every one of his seven-date UK arena tour alongside Eats Everything and Horsemeat Disco.

INTRODUCING: FAMLY

In a scene dominated by factions and opinions based on genre and clan, Cousn have always been strong believers of presenting their music on their own terms and so will be self-releasing all their tracks on their own FAMLY imprint so as to set the tempo of their musical output and maintain full creative control.
