David uses a variety of eastern meditation and energy practices to generate powerful physical states when creating his music. It is his belief that this energy will translate through the art form and inspire the listener, providing powerful resources to help people transcend their limitations.
Mackenzie draws on his own life story as inspiration for his music. From a young age he experienced conflict within his family; from serious mental health illnesses to fractured relationships and separations. Powerful encounters with music led to him forging his own path as a musician and composer, and he absorbed the transcendent, emotionally transformative quality of the artists he was listening to into his own work and processes.
With his brand, he is interested in exploring the depths of the human condition, challenging the zeitgeist and pushing through his own internal boundaries and discomforts to continue to grow as an artist. His vision and voice celebrates independence and stands against mediocrity and conformity. He strives to stir deep emotions within the listener, challenging their perspective and inspiring them to realise their own potential.
