Muzoid

Muzoid is the solo project of Bristol-based producer Maff Rigby. Maff learned music theory and performance at an early age, having been immersed in music since the age of 6. At 11 he started playing the drums and formed jangly indie band The Dream Green Kitchens with his two brothers. At 16 he taught himself guitar and formed an indie grunge band (didn’t everyone?) called Jupiter Bloom.

Maff first discovered his love for electronic music in the mid-90s with a soundtrack that included The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, Leftfield, Underworld etc. This period still inspires his music now - he’s basically trying to re-live his teenage years without making the mistakes he made the first time round (isn’t everyone?).
